Due to increased operational costs, the Geest Line regrets that it is necessary to increase handling and operational charges with effect from Agulhas Stream v 01, ex Portsmouth 15th January 2008, to new levels as follows:
Terminal Handling Charge (FCL)
£ 78 per 10’; £ 107* per 20’; £ 119 per 40’. (*corrected)
Flat Rack/Open Top Container Surcharge
Flat Rack: USD 400 per 20’; USD 650 per 40’.
Open Top: USD 500 per 20’; USD 800 per 40’.
Terminal Handling Charge (Breakbulk/LCL)
General cargo measuring up to 6 cubic metres per 1000 kgs and weighing less
than 30 tonnes per sailing: £ 13.50 per 1000 kgs.
General cargo measuring more than 6 cubic metres per 1000 kgs and/or exceeding
30 tonnes per sailing: £ 22 per 1000 kgs.
Cars (including 4 wheel drive passenger) : £ 49 per car.
Vehicular cargo other than cars: £ 49 minimum for first 1000 kgs, then £ 13.50 for
each additional 1000 kgs or part.
Temperature Controlled cargo: £ 20 per 1000 kgs (including Cold Store handling,
transport to the terminal and terminal handling).
Other Charges
Charges for container stuffing/unstuffing, Customs exams and securing in containers are also increasing and we will be pleased to quote the new amounts on application.
