The vessels are fully self sustained in terms of cargo handling equipment to handle everything from heavy containers to pallets of fruit. The vessels are designed to have optimum container capacity for the size of the vessel, making the "Stream Class" vessels extremely versatile and efficient. Coupled with a good speed of over 21 knots, when required, the ships are also amongst the most economical Reefer vessels afloat today. All four vessels are also fitted with "Controlled Atmosphere" equipment, which complement the Refrigeration System for the carriage of bananas and thereby enhances shelf life and fruit quality on arrival to the U.K. marketplace including Continental Europe.
